Maria's Salsa Verde

4 to 5 jalapeno peppers

3 green tomatoes (tomatillos)

A couple branches(ramitas) of cilantro.

1 garlic teeth

Boil the green tomatoes(tomatillos) with the jalapenos and when they begin to chance color you take them out and blend them with the raw washed cilantro branches/ramitas. You add one spoon of Knorr chicken seasoning, and salsa should be good to eat. 

From working in a domestic violence shelter I have found food to bring women together across communities and Nationalities. I began to collect recipes from them as a way to remember them when they no longer are in our shelter.
